Acadiana Food Alliance

2026 Local Food Directory
The directory is a publicly accessible resource designed to connect farmers and food producers across Acadiana with buyers, partners and community members seeking locally grown and produced food. The directory serves as a critical tool for strengthening market access, increasing visibility for producers and unifying the regional local food economy.

As part of our efforts to strengthen and modernize the local food system, AFA is launching a comprehensive update to the 2026 Local Food Directory and is inviting both previously listed producers and new producers to participate.
Updating the directory allows AFA to:

-
Ensure information is accurate, current and reflective of today’s local food landscape
-
Welcome new and emerging producers into the network
-
Reconnect with producers who may have been previously listed
-
Improve the usefulness of the directory for buyers and community partners
Farmer & Producer Survey
This is a key tool used by AFA to understand the realities facing farmers and food producers across Acadiana. The information collected helps AFA identify trends, challenges and opportunities within the regional food system so that programs, partnerships and resources are grounded in producer-identified needs.

Each response contributes to a more accurate picture of the local food system. Participation helps ensure that small, mid-scale, and emerging producers are represented and that future programs are responsive, inclusive, and equitable.
All survey responses are handled with care and used to inform aggregate insights, not to evaluate individual farms or businesses.
